A new plan: Achieving goals

Special Needs ProgramMany of the homeless men who walk through the doors of City Gospel Mission have special needs. Thirty-eight percent of Cincinnati’s homeless suffer from chronic mental illness. Thirteen percent of the homeless population is veterans and twenty-seven percent have a physical or cognitive disability. City Gospel Mission’s Special Needs Program for men is designed to address the unique needs of these populations. Each man in this program is paired with a Case Manager to help him navigate the complex network of financial, medical, and housing benefits available to him through the government and private social service agencies. The Special Needs Program provides emergency shelter for homeless men and helps find affordable, supportive housing options for them outside the Mission. During their stay at the Mission, classes in life skills and spiritual development are also available. For more information about our Special Needs Program, please contact Program Manager Chris Bryant at cbryant@citygospelmission.org or call (513) 345-1065. |
