I had a problem - a big problem!

My problem was - I had been using crack cocaine for over 20 years. And I had done all sorts of bad things to get it.

Crack cocaine was just a demon that I let take control of my life. A friend of mine told me about City Gospel Mission, and said if I came down here, they'd help me.

So I came to the Mission and told them, "My name is Darryl, and I'm taking every dime I get and putting it into crack cocaine and into my body - I'm killing me, and I don't like it."

Because of coming here and joining the Exodus program, today I'm changed. Seeing the things the Lord has done here has changed me. I believe the Bible now. I've seen that the Lord's Word is real. It's almost unbelievable how much I believe in Christ today.

Now there's joy in me - a lot of joy. I look at some of the people who come to the Mission for dinner, and I see myself. So I thank the Lord for this place. The love here is outstanding. There's love here in these walls.
